VA Spotlight: Meet Monica
Monica is an eCommerce virtual assistant (VA) who started working with 20four7VA last year. She oversees her client’s Amazon Seller Central page where she helps with monitoring products and other relevant business transactions. As a well-rounded VA, she is also responsible for doing emails for her client.
Get to know Monica and her journey from being a corporate worker to a home-based virtual assistant with a better work-life balance.
What made you decide to become a VA?
I wanted to spend more time with my family in the province. I want to go home, especially on special occasions like birthdays. If you work in corporate, the maximum amount of time I can go home is three days — that’s it. I wanted flexible hours, I want more time with them, and most of all I want to better provide for them.
What was life like before you started working for 20four7VA?
I worked from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. every single day, from Monday to Friday, sometimes even on Saturdays. That really exhausted me so much. I decided that I wanted to change the lifestyle that I had. I want to try if there is really an opportunity (to make a living) online, and that’s the time that I knew of 20four7VA.
What makes 20four7VA different?
I like the recruitment process that we have because it really helped me a lot in the decision I was making if I wanted to do home-based work. Another is the welcoming and very approachable environment. In my experience with 20four7VA, even with the kind of issues that I encounter (since they’re normal), it’s very easy for me to voice out concerns, what I really think, and even suggestions that I need to make my work more efficient.
What do you like about the 20four7VA staff and your fellow VAs?
The common trait that most staff and even the team share is their concern. You can really feel their concern about you. They give prompt answers for issues that I may have and give me the help that I need right away, and that makes me feel their sincerity.
If you were to recommend 20four7VA to your best friend, what would you say?
If you want more time with your family or a career that has a work-life balance, joining 20four7VA will allow you to do all those things while providing for them and yourself better.
