What do you do at 20four7VA?

Rose Ann: I am a Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist at 20four7VA. I work closely with the CS (Client Services) and CSO (Customer Support) departments in client-facing tasks. Apart from creating invoices and handling bills, I’m also responsible for ensuring that all contracted requests are properly executed and reflected on 20four7VA’s financial statements.

What part of your current role is the most exciting?

Rose Ann: It’s funny that I can’t pinpoint anything “exciting” about being an accountant. But I can proudly say that I enjoy accounting- it has become a part of me! When at work, I’m completely in my element- my second nature.

How did you hear about 20four7VA, and why did you decide to join us?

Rose Ann: The pandemic made it difficult for me to work in the office setting. I randomly found  20four7VA on LinkedIn. I applied, submitted my requirements, and here I am!

What’s your professional background? What were you doing before you joined 20four7VA?

Rose Ann: I hold a BSBA degree in Financial Accounting. I served as a Branch Accountant for 9 years for a financial institution and a freelance Virtual Lead Generator for an Australian boutique.

What’s your favorite thing about 20four7VA?

Rose Ann: My favorite thing about 20four7VA is the remote setup!

The opportunity to grow my career and develop my skills from the comfort of my own home, while fulfilling my responsibilities as a mother, is indeed promising. I can now play with my kids and tuck them in bed myself!

What are your top 3 remote work tips?

• Despite the time zone difference, remain committed to your responsibilities.
• Work with integrity! Working remotely is a trust-based professional relationship between the virtual assistant and client. Perform your tasks in good faith.

Give your “hot take” about being a remote professional?

Working remotely is a mix of excitement and stagnation.

Remote work is a paradox: it gives you a sense of freedom and sometimes causes you to feel isolated. Working from home may sound easy, but doing it firsthand is a totally different story. To truly enjoy this setup at its finest, you need to stay committed and have excellent time management skills.

Rose Ann: Coffee ☕ is the answer to everything- whether it is “ME” time or “Mama” time.

What are your hobbies, passions, or interests?

Rose Ann: I love reading books, watching documentaries, or movies about crime/law. 🍿

Rose Ann: The smallest things turn out to be the biggest blessings. Don’t forget to smile every time; your genuine smile has a power that resonates with the world.
