What do you do at 20four7VA?

Anslem: I’m the AI and ML Engineer at 20four7VA, which basically means if it involves AI, automation, machine learning, or making work faster and smarter, I’m probably somewhere in the middle of it. 

My role focuses on building intelligent systems, improving workflows through automation, and finding practical ways AI can increase the company’s productivity. I like turning “this would be nice if we had it” into “it’s live and working!”

What part of your current role is the most exciting?

Anslem: The most exciting part for me is seeing an idea move from a conversation or a note on paper into something real that people can actually use. 

There’s something satisfying about taking a problem, designing a solution, building it, and then watching it smooth out our team’s internal workflow. AI is not a passing trend; it’s here to stay, so being part of shaping how we use it in meaningful ways is something I genuinely enjoy!

How did you hear about 20four7VA, and why did you decide to join us?

Anslem: I came across the job posting for an AI/ML Engineer role, and honestly, it immediately caught my attention!

It felt like the kind of challenge I was looking for. The role let me build, solve real problems, and work with a forward-thinking team. I applied, got the position, and am now creating a meaningful impact.

What’s your professional background? What were you doing before you joined 20four7VA?

Anslem: I have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and have been working in AI and Machine Learning, focusing on building practical solutions with real business impact. 

Before joining 20four7VA, I was already working as an AI/ML Engineer, helping organizations leverage data, automation, and intelligent systems to improve operations. I was looking for a new challenge, something bigger, faster, and more impactful, and I found what I was looking for in 20four7VA.

What’s your favorite thing about 20four7VA?

Anslem: I love the culture!

There’s a strong sense of collaboration, innovation, and trust, which makes a huge difference. I also love the flexibility of the remote work setup. The opportunity to collaborate and learn from my teammates across the world while still being part of a high-performing team is something I really value. 

Good work should not be limited by geography 🌎.

What are your top 3 remote work tips?

• Have a clear plan for your day, don’t just “start working,” know exactly what needs to get done.
• Value your focus. Remote work can be amazing, but distractions are everywhere. Discipline matters.
• Coffee ☕. I’m serious: Respect the process. Sometimes productivity starts with caffeine and a good Wi-Fi!

What are your top 3 tips for successful remote staffing/outsourcing?

• Communication is everything! Clear expectations save everyone time and frustration.
• Trust your team. Great people do great work when they’re trusted to own it. Micromanagement is never a productivity tool.
• Focus on results, not just activity. It’s not about who looks busy; it’s about who delivers value.

What’s a motto/philosophy you live by?

Anslem: There’s a quote I really like from Timothy Chalamet: “You can be the master of your fate and the captain of your soul, but always remember that life is coming from you and not at you. and that takes time to understand.”

That mindset stuck with me because it reminds me to take ownership of my life, growth, and decisions. We shape our reality more than we realize; it just takes time and discipline to truly understand that.

What do you do to unwind after work?

Anslem: I like taking walks to clear my head and let off steam; it helps me reset after a long day. I also hit the gym, usually in the morning, because starting the day with movement helps me stay sharp and ready for whatever challenges come next. Sometimes the best debugging happens away from the laptop.

What are your hobbies/passions/interests?

Anslem: I used to be a heavy movie watcher, but life got busier. I still make time to watch a really good film. I’m also a big football fan, and yes, I proudly bleed blue! Chelsea⚽till I die! 

I enjoy going to the gym, running, and pretty much any activity that keeps me physically active. Music is also a big one for me 🎵. I love listening to good music, even in languages I don’t understand, because music is not just about understanding words; it’s about how it makes you feel.

Anslem: Keep chasing the dream. Nothing is too small to achieve if you stay consistent and keep showing up. Growth takes time, and success rarely happens overnight.
