What difficulties did you experience in your work life before you joined 20four7VA?

Fernando:  I really didn’t have any major difficulties in my past jobs. In fact, I loved my previous occupations. 

I’m an actor, so I needed a flexible work arrangement because I travel a lot. 20four7VA gave me the professional opportunities and remote flexibility that I needed!

How did you come across 20four7VA?

Fernando:  While searching for remote work on Google and LinkedIn, I discovered 20four7VA.

What are your favorite things about working with 20four7VA?

Fernando: I really love working with my client—the work and the environment are just great. Plus, the team at 20four7VA is so cooperative and responsive. They’re all super approachable and easy to communicate with!

What are your top 3 remote work tips?

Fernando:

• Learn how to utilize the power of artificial intelligence (AI) responsibly. Nowadays, using AI tools is a must! It helps you get the job done quickly and effectively.
• Know your company’s needs. Ask questions to understand what the business needs, so you can build solutions that truly make a difference.
• Keep your workspace clean and organized. A clean workspace leads to better focus and heightened productivity.

What skill would you want to learn, and why?

Fernando: I’m working to develop the skills needed to be an effective project manager. My current role allows me to actively harness my leadership and team collaboration skills

What are your long-term goals, and how do you see your current role contributing to those goals?

Fernando: My long-term goal is to become a project manager, which will allow me to take on greater responsibilities and lead a team.

My current remote role has already provided me with invaluable skills that will be essential for this career path at 20four7VA.

Do you have any memorable experiences with 20four7VA? Any work challenges that you were able to overcome?

Fernando: Starting my remote career with 20four7VA has been my most memorable experience. 

The training weeks were amazing; they opened my eyes to a bigger world of possibilities. I also got to build great professional relationships and friendships with my client and my remote team.

Give us a hot take about being a VA

Fernando: Being a VA is a very dynamic job.

Yes, virtual assistants are always in front of the computer, but it doesn’t always mean doing routine tasks. Being in the healthcare field requires me to communicate with different patients and healthcare providers every day.

People sometimes think being a virtual assistant is a quiet, repetitive job, but for me, it’s the total opposite. It’s a constant learning experience. I’m always adapting to new challenges and adjusting my skills. 

I used to think it was just about routine tasks, but I’ve learned that it’s really about making connections and believing in your capabilities.

What do you do to unwind after work? Share your best work-from-home self-care tips!

Fernando: My self-care routine begins before my shift. I exercise, eat breakfast, and shower to ensure I start my workday feeling energized and in a positive mood.

After work, I try to get enough rest. Sitting in front of the computer can cause back pain, so it’s important to watch your posture and stand up from time to time.
