VA Spotlight: Cleojen

 In VA Spotlight

Meet Cleojen, a Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist virtual assistant (VA) at 20four7VA for a client in the home remodeling industry. As the QA Team Lead, she ensures project completion and success, analyzes data to identify relevant trends, audits calls, and collaborates closely with her team.

Beyond her remote career, VA Cleojen demonstrated her love for the community by organizing a donation drive for our brothers and sisters who were severely affected by the 6.9-magnitude earthquake and aftershocks in Cebu City, Philippines.

 Let’s hear more from Cleojen!

Can you share your professional background?

Cleojen: I began my career in 2012 as a sales agent. I used to handle education and hotel reservation accounts.

After a year and a half, I transitioned into a Quality Analyst role. Starting in 2013, my professional path revolved around Quality — serving as a QA Analyst, Supervisor, and Team Lead. Over the years, I’ve developed a deep understanding of quality management, coaching, and performance improvement.

How did you come across 20four7VA?

Cleojen: I was referred to by a friend! I’m forever grateful to her for introducing me to 20four7VA. This opportunity has positively impacted my professional and personal life.

What difficulties did you experience in your work life before joining 20four7VA?

Cleojen: During the pandemic, my family decided to move to our hometown in the province for our family’s safety. We also wanted to stay with our other family members.

However, that meant traveling almost 2-3 hours to and from work daily— a brutal 5–6 hours of exhausting travel time. It was painful and heartbreaking to leave my kids at home.

20four7VA allowed me to work from the comfort of my home while helping me achieve peace of mind and work-life balance.

What are your favorite things about working with 20four7VA?

Cleojen: I love the on-time weekly payments and the trust-based work culture. 20four7VA doesn’t micromanage its VAs — instead, they give us the autonomy to perform our roles effectively while offering support when needed. That balance makes a huge difference!

What are your long-term goals, and how do you see your current role contributing to those goals?

Cleojen: My long-term goal is to continue growing with 20four7VA and my client.

I want to mentor new VAs and motivate them to be the best version of themselves. My current role allows me to communicate effectively, stay organized, and further develop my problem-solving skills. These skills are essential for leadership and long-term success.

Can you share your top 3 remote work tips?

  1. Stay organized – Manage your tasks efficiently.
  2. Avoid distractions – Create a workspace that promotes focus and productivity.
  3. Communicate effectively – Maintain clear and consistent communication with your team and client.

What skill would you want to learn, and why?

I’d love to learn digital marketing and project management. These are some of the in-demand skills that can help expand my professional capabilities and open new growth opportunities.

Give us a hot take about being a VA

Cleojen: Being a VA isn’t “easy” work!

Being a VA requires focus, adaptability, and continuous learning. It’s also one of the most rewarding careers, offering flexibility, stability, and the chance to grow as a person and a professional.

What do you do to unwind after work? Share your best work-from-home self-care tips!

Cleojen: After work, I make time to go to the gym or join fun runs 🏃 — running has become one of my favorite ways to recharge.

My best WFH self-care tip is to set clear boundaries between work and personal life. Once you’re off the clock, focus on yourself and your well-being!

Beyond Remote Work: A Heart for Helping our Cebuano Brothers and Sisters

On the evening of September 30, 2025, a 6.9-magnitude earthquake hit Bogo City, Cebu. This powerful earthquake affected over 150,000+ families in 16 cities in the Cebu province. Around 11,000+ aftershocks have been felt by residents and nearby provinces.

What was your mindset when organizing the donation drive?

Cleojen: My mindset was simple — to make a positive impact and bring people together to help those in need. I’m from the southern part of Cebu, and when Typhoon Odette hit us in 2021, it was the northern part of Cebu that reached out to help us, providing water and essentials when we had none for almost 2 months. Organizing the donation drive was our way of returning the favor and paying it forward.

How was 20four7VA able to help you organize the donation drive?

Cleojen: 20four7VA was incredibly supportive throughout the entire process. The company helped spread awareness. It shows how much 20four7VA values professional development, social responsibility, and compassion for the community.

I’m deeply grateful to be part of a team that believes in giving back and creating meaningful change.

Thanks for taking the time to speak with us, Cleojen! 😊
