Company’s VA Schedule & Leave Policy
At 20four7VA, we recognize that every client’s business has unique needs. To ensure a smooth collaboration between clients and Virtual Assistants (VAs), the following guidelines outline how schedules and leaves are generally handled. These are client-directed practices designed to promote clear expectations and work-life balance, while respecting the independent contractor status of all VAs.

Workdays and Hours
Clients and VAs agree on the specific workdays and hours before services begin. Workdays may fall on any day from Monday through Sunday, depending on what best supports the client’s operations. Hours are flexible and may be aligned with the client’s time zone or business requirements. We encourage clients to set schedules that allow VAs to consistently meet deliverables while also being practical for both parties.

Flexibility and Balance
Because VAs are independent contractors, they manage their own availability and capacity. Clients are encouraged to work directly with their assigned VA to set a schedule that balances productivity with personal well-being. As a general guideline, we recommend no more than 50 hours of work per week, though adjustments may be made when both client and VA agree. This approach helps sustain performance and prevents burnout.

Breaks
VAs may take reasonable unpaid breaks during their workday. The timing of these breaks should be coordinated with the client to avoid interruptions in workflow. This arrangement provides flexibility for VAs while ensuring that client needs continue to be met.

Recognized Holidays
To simplify scheduling across time zones, 20four7VA observes four major paid holidays worldwide: New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. Clients may decide whether their VAs will take these days off or continue to work. In addition, clients have the option to recognize other holidays that are important to their business or region. This gives clients control over how services are delivered during peak holiday seasons while also acknowledging that many VAs may prefer to observe these occasions.

Personal Days
VAs may also take personal time off. Beginning six months from the start of service, VAs typically receive one personal day every six months. Clients may choose to expand this arrangement by granting additional personal days or adjusting schedules to accommodate personal commitments. Any such arrangements should be communicated in advance to minimize disruption and maintain continuity of services.

Coordination and Communication
Clear communication is essential. VAs are expected to provide reasonable notice when they need time away, and clients are encouraged to be responsive and flexible in accommodating those requests. This mutual understanding helps ensure that deadlines are met and that services remain uninterrupted, even when scheduling adjustments are necessary.

Important Note
These provisions are not employment benefits. They are client-directed scheduling guidelines that reflect common practices for independent contractor engagements. All VAs working with 20four7VA are independent professionals, and these arrangements are designed solely to help clients and VAs coordinate schedules effectively.
