VA Spotlight: Meet Charlene
Meet Charlene. She is an eCommerce virtual assistant (VA) who started working for 20four7VA in April 2016. In the last four years, she mainly does Amazon Listings and works in Customer Service.

Why did you become a VA?
Originally, I moved to Davao, and of course, moving to a province means it (salary) is going to be a provincial rate. So, it is a very big difference from the rate from Manila compared to Davao and I thought of searching for work-from-home jobs. And so, I found 20four7VA.
What do you like about working for 20four7VA?
I have an 11-month-old baby boy, and one of the perks of working with 20four7VA is I get to still spend time with my loved ones. Another is that I know that Manila is super traffic, so I get to avoid that as well as the floods and typhoons that we normally have every year.
What qualities should a VA have?
Communication is an important quality. Being able to communicate very well about what things are needed to do or complete is important in any job. It is a necessary skill needed when connecting with our person-in-charge (POC), the HR department, etc. Being able to do so makes me able to do my job well and feel closer with the people I work with even if we are all working remotely.
What makes 20four7VA different?
There is little to no micromanagement. Additionally, I can get all the help that I need regardless of what department it is from. I used to work for a BPO company, and they micromanaged me, and that is why I like working for 20four7VA because I feel trusted to do my work and get the support that I need anytime should I ask for it.
How has 20four7VA helped you grow?
I feel grateful to be trusted and because of that, I have the urge to reciprocate the trust they have given me by handling my clients well and doing my job to the best of my abilities.
What are your top benefits of working with 20four7VA?
Aside from job safety and security as a mother of a growing child, it is the fact that I get to work from home. I have and will never miss the ‘firsts’ of my son and I’m grateful that I get to be there in person when they happen. Another is schedule flexibility, which allows me to work around the hours when I’m most available without compromising work quality.
Would you recommend 20four7VA?
I don’t think I have to say anything anymore. I guess the one thing that I can say is look at what my lifestyle is now or for the last three years since I’ve been working with 20four7VA. I have the privilege and convenience of working, earning, taking care of my son, and being productive with my tasks without leaving home.
