Welcome to the People of 20four7VA series! Every month, we chat with a member of the team and find out what they do at 20four7VA, what they love about their role, and how they make remote work work.

This month, we’re venturing into the world of Quality and Reputation Management (QRM) with Shemane, our Senior QRM Specialist! She’s the dedicated pro behind the scenes who keeps 20four7VA’s service quality at a top-notch level. Her expertise ensures every client and virtual assistant (VA) interaction reflects our commitment to excellence and that internal processes are optimized.

But what keeps Shemane thriving at 20four7VA? When she’s not wielding her QRM magic, you might find her curled up with her feline companions or unwinding with a captivating K-drama! Let’s learn more about Shemane!

What do you do at 20four7VA?

I am a Senior Quality and Reputation Management Specialist at 20four7VA. I analyze feedback from virtual assistants and clients gathered through internal surveys or external review sites. With this data, the Quality team can identify and address potential issues or areas for improvement. Part of my responsibility is to work closely with various teams to document and audit their processes, ensuring they are constantly refined and optimized.

What made you decide to work with 20four7VA?

Since coming back from living overseas, I have wanted to work remotely.

During the pandemic, a friend introduced me to 20four7VA. The timing was perfect, as the Quality team was just being established, which allowed me to grow in the role and within the company.

What do you enjoy most about working with 20four7VA?

What I enjoy most about working with 20four7VA is being able to work independently while working with a community of highly skilled and friendly co-workers.

How has your role evolved since you first joined the company?

My journey at 20four7VA began with documenting key processes for our teams. From working at a part-time basis, I’ve grown to a full-time role handling cross-team projects.

These projects encompass both continuous improvement initiatives and online reputation management, allowing me to make a significant impact on the company’s efficiency and service experience.

What’s the best advice you would give to someone just starting out at the company?

I’d have to say COMMUNICATE!

You are never alone in a remote work setup. Reach out and don’t be afraid to ask questions. Take time to get to know people in the company!

What are your top 3 tips for virtual assistants?

  • Learn to manage your time. You’ll get things done faster if you’re able to focus on a job or task one at a time.
  • Always have the hunger to learn.
  • Always be open to giving and receiving feedback.

What’s a motto/philosophy you live by?

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.”  -Proverbs 3:5-6, The Bible

Tell us about three things you love

1. My cats! They helped me get through a low season of my life and especially during the pandemic.
2. K-drama! Themes that focus on family, community, and overcoming challenges are my faves. My top recommendations are Reply 1988, Hometown Chachacha, and Moving.
3. Travel! My current favorite place is Vietnam. I got to visit Hanoi last year with friends so let me know if you’re going and I’ll recommend the best places to have pho, banh mi, and coffee!
